Sept 6/1910 Regina Rugby Club is formed. The club loses their inaugural game to the Moose Jaw Tigers on October 1st of that year.
Dec 1923 The club plays for the Grey Cup for the first time and loses to Queens University 54-0
1924 The club was renamed the Regina Roughriders
Dec 1928 The Roughriders participate in their second Grey Cup and lose to Hamilton 30-0
Nov 1929 The Roughriders participate in their third Grey Cup and lose to Hamilton 14-3
Dec 1930 The Roughriders reach their third straight Grey Cup and lose to Balmy Beach 11-6
Dec 1931 The Roughriders play in their fourth straight Grey Cup and lose to Montreal AAA 22-0
Dec 1932 The Roughriders participate in their fifth Grey Cup in a row and lose to Hamilton 25-6
Nov 1934 The Roughriders participate in their seventh Grey Cup overall and lose to the Sarnia Imperials 20-12
1946 Taylor Field opens, named after Neil J. "Piffles" Taylor. He was a celebrated rugby/football player, coach, and administrator.
Apr 1950 The team is renamed the Saskatchewan Roughriders
Nov 1951 The Riders finally make it back to the big game and lose to Ottawa 21-14
Dec 1956 Gordon Sturtridge, Mel Becket, Ray Syrnyk and Mario Demarco are killed in a plane crash while returning from the allstar game in Vancouver
Nov 1966 The Roughies breakout of their Grey Cup drought with a win over Ottawa 29-14 in Vancouver
Nov 1967 Saskatchewan loses the Grey Cup to Hamilton 24-1
Nov 1969 Saskatchewan loses the Grey Cup to Ottawa 29-11
Nov 1972 Saskatchewan loses the Grey Cup to Hamilton 13-10
Nov 1976 Saskatchewan loses the Grey Cup for the 4th time in 6 years to Ottawa 23-20
Nov 1989 Riders win the team's 2nd Grey Cup. They beat Hamilton 43-40 at Skydome in Toronto in the best Grey Cup game ever played
Nov 1995 Regina hosts the Grey Cup for the first time
Nov 1997 Roughies lose in the Grey Cup final to Toronto 47-23 after beating the favoured Stamps and Eskimos
Nov 2003 Regina hosts Grey Cup for the second time
June 2006 Taylor Field is renamed Mosaic Stadium at Taylor Field
Nov 2007 Saskatchewan wins their 3rd Grey Cup with a 23-19 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Nov 2009 Saskatchewan loses Grey Cup to Montreal 28-27 on a last second field goal
2010 The Roughriders celebrate their 100th season
Nov 2010 The Riders lose their second straight Grey Cup to Montreal 21-18
